"At King Albert," nestled at 109 Rue de la Grotte in Lourdes, France, is a delightful culinary spot that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for travelers seeking both quality and affordability. Customers frequently rave about the remarkable value of their lunch menu, which includes a three-course meal for just €13. Orysia Zaremba particularly praised the flavorful onion soup and the hospitable service, emphasizing the friendly staff as a highlight of her experience.
However, the reviews present a mixed bag. While some dishes like the lamb chops and the plate de jour, featuring expertly cooked fish, receive glowing commendations, others, like the fish and chips, tend to fall short of expectations. Evelyn Kim’s experience reflects a typical tourist trap sentiment, suggesting that the food may lack the finesse that discerning diners seek.
Despite this, most patrons leave with a sense of satisfaction. The accommodating staff and serene riverside views add to the restaurant’s charm. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick meal or a leisurely lunch with friends, "At King Albert" is a worthy destination. With a blend of good food and warm service, it’s a place you won’t want to miss while exploring Lourdes.

Unexpectadly nice place with very nice prices. There was a lunch offer with a dessert for 13 euros. I took an onion soup, and it was super tasty! Highly recommendable! The salad and lamb chops were also nice. What I really liked was the service, and old lady at the front was very hospitable for me and the waiter as well. Among other places near the sanctuary, so far the best for me.
Typical tourist spot with typical tourist quality food. We ordered the fish and chips which was not very satisfactory, but to be fair, we were warned ahead of time, lasagna which was very cheesy and saucy, and a small strip steak which was adequate. Recommend this place if in search of late night, quick food options, just make sure to your prepare expectations.
Came in and had an excellent meal, with good sized portions. The lamb was cooked to taste, and the plate de jour was fish beautifully served with vegetables... No complaints, excellent and recommended!
This place was recommended by the staff at our hotel. We had lunch for a party of eight and they were very accommodating. Our waiter was eager to serve us and our food was available in a short time. We had beef and fish platters. Some in our party has burgers. Nice place for lunch. The big boss even came by to say hello to us. I would recommend this place for lunch. The view in the back is nice with the river.
Friendly and welcoming restaurant in busy part of Lourdes. Offers a great selection of lunch menu at very good prices. My stake was well cooked to my specifications and service was very good. Well recommended!
